A trauma-informed, neuroscience-based, neurodiversity-affirming and occupation-centred approach to paediatric OT practice. It brings research evidence, practitioner expertise, the child and family, nervous system state and occupational priorities into the same clinical reasoning process.
There is a case on your caseload right now that keeps pulling you back.
A child whose nervous system goes somewhere a sensory strategy cannot reach. A parent asking questions that deserve a sharper answer. A presentation that does not quite fit the framework you have been using.
TSAC Lite is built for that. Not another strategy list, but the clinical reasoning that helps you identify what is happening underneath the behaviour, where it sits in the framework and what the next clinical step really is.
The SenseUp Approach and The SenseUp Model 360 work together.
The SenseUp Approach is how we reason and practise. The SenseUp Model 360 is the map that helps us hold the whole child while keeping nervous system safety and occupational participation connected to every clinical decision.
A five-layer clinical reasoning framework beginning with nervous system safety and moving through integrated sensory processing, sensory-motor integration, perceptual-motor skills and occupational participation, while reasoning in both directions across the Model.
It gives you a clearer structure for assessment, hypothesis development, documentation and intervention. Instead of treating findings as separate problems, you can explain how they interact and decide what needs to change for participation to shift.
Every section is taught through The SenseUp Approach and located within The SenseUp Model 360. Across each unique case, you keep connecting the autonomic nervous system, trauma, regulation, integrated sensory processing, sensory-motor integration, perceptual-motor development and occupational participation. The relationship between the layers is the clinical reasoning.
Five layers of clinical reasoning, held in one dynamic loop.
The curriculum moves from nervous system safety through sensory processing, sensory-motor integration and perceptual-motor skills to occupational participation and self-determination, while reasoning in both directions throughout.
Foundation Layer
Nervous system safety, polyvagal theory, co-regulation, attachment, trauma and the sensory pathway to regulation.
Level 1 - Integrated Sensory Processing
The sensory systems, modulation and discrimination, and the sensory-emotional meaning of what the child is experiencing.
Level 2 - Sensory-Motor Integration
Body awareness, postural control, bilateral coordination, motor planning and praxis. The foundations of body trust.
Level 3 - Perceptual-Motor Skills
Motor skills, visual-spatial skills and perception, attention and auditory language.
Level 4 - Occupational Participation
Toileting, mealtimes, sleep, relationships and communication, learning and concept formation. The life the child actually lives anchors every clinical decision.
The 360° loop
Bottom-up sensory integration expands neurological foundations, but occupational purpose drives the reasoning back down. Students learn to reason bidirectionally from the beginning.
What you work through across the six months.
Each level builds on the one before it, but you are continually reasoning across the whole Model 360. The lesson title tells you the content area. The SenseUp Approach determines how you interpret it and connect it back to the child in front of you.

What OTs say about learning with SenseUp.
"My favourite thing about SenseUp is you Kerry 😂 But also I love the heart behind SenseUp… driven by love and care for others…Kerry and her mentoring is a true gift…what I love most about SenseUp is that it has given me the knowledge, skills, confidence and self belief to help clients in the way that I always wanted to in becoming an OT. SenseUp has literally been the tool in igniting the fire from the spark that was always within me. I am forever grateful for Kerry and the invaluable approach she has developed. I am so blessed that I have been able to be a part of SenseUp’s journey since launch and I look forward to supporting the approach and my clients through the approach for years to come and each day achieving the extraordinary because of SenseUp."
"The SenseUp Model completely changed how I assess and intervene. I went from avoiding complex sensory cases to being the person colleagues refer their most challenging clients to."
"I can now justify every sensory intervention to funding bodies with research evidence. My NDIS reports are stronger, my parents are more engaged, and most importantly, the children I work with are making real progress."
As an already accomplished and experienced OT, TSAC has provided me with the missing puzzle pieces to feel confident in assessing and delivering OT services with a true sensory lens. Kerry is a wonderful teacher and I'd recommend this course to any new graduate or experienced therapists.
"I finally understand the neuroscience behind what I was seeing clinically. Parents trust me more because I can explain things with confidence, and my interventions are so much more effective because I understand what I'm actually targeting."

The Community is where the rest of the reasoning happens.
A protected student-only space where your learning lives. It is moderated by the SenseUp team and shared with the OTs moving through the same material alongside you.
Your professional development is not content for an algorithm. The space sits behind your login with the same privacy as the rest of your course.
Your six months are already mapped out.
